Ten years ago, my journey with photography began through self-portraiture as a way of feeling my way through the emotions of a family tragedy. Still with that sense of loss, photography allowed me to explore that missing part of myself, the one that seemed to both stay in its grief and seek healing all at once.

Emotions have been a big part of my journey here and I’m always delighted to hear this resonates and translates into my photography style. Capturing emotions is something we can’t learn but can only experience. Photography for me is about translating those experiences into pictorial form.
